A Maintenance Coordinator needs to possess knowledge in areas of equipment capabilities, safety, product specifications, team building and team leading. The Maintenance Coordinator specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Owns setting adjustments for assigned equipment; performs equipment maintenance as specified in the manufacturer’s manual and/or certification programs; troubleshoots and repairs equipment failures, both electrical and mechanical, to restore equipment back into operational condition; makes adjustments to equipment, product or supplies through the natural process variation to promote maximum efficiency; plans and coordinates maintenance activities with production; prioritizes preventative maintenance schedules; efficiently uses SAP, including writing and closing work orders; follows all explicit instructions and seeks help when needed; performs all necessary pre-operation safety inspections as specified in the operator’s manual and/or certification programs; ensures proper operation of equipment in compliance with the GMP’s to maintain product cleanliness; maintains a positive attitude/outlook and develops effective cooperative relationships with all operation support departments; has excellent safe actions and behaviors in all job duties; assists in training of employees on production equipment; is thoroughly versed in all matters pertaining to Safety in the Job, Department and Plant; performs calculations of process measurements to include yield, utilization, or nonconformity rates; communicates to all appropriate personnel regarding tasks needed to maximize efficiency; uses good maintenance practices to achieve the highest possible quality and yield results; follows Operations Quality Product Specifications in performance of job; complies with all accident prevention and compliance programs; follows all proper safety procedures regarding chemical uses per Safety Data Sheet instructions; and is responsible for setup/teardown of production equipment and performs additional duties as directed by supervision.
Hours of work would be as appropriate to cover normal production running hours. Must be able to perform duties of general maintenance in a way that is consistent with plant policy and standards; the employee must have the following qualifications.
