Job summary

Abbott’s Columbus Plant is seeking a Maintenance Professional to support electrical and mechanical maintenance for high-speed production equipment. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting of electrical and process systems, wiring of motors, and safe operation around 480VAC.

Qualifications

• Read electrical schematics and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical malfunctions and repairs.
• Wiring and replacing electric motors in production equipment.
• Work around voltages up to 480VAC safely.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical and process schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Train team members on performing repairs to production equipment and plant utility systems and ensuring proper electrical/mechanical operation.
• Operate/troubleshoot/maintain high speed packaging, processing, filling equipment and utilities.
• Conduct on-the-job training for Maintenance team members new to the function or for periodic assessments.
• Provide SME insight in the development of training materials and updates to job plans.
