Abbott Laboratories in Columbus, OH, seeks a maintenance trainer to support operations and day-to-day training for the site. You will deliver on-the-job instruction, coordinate training schedules, and align with the site training strategy to improve competency across maintenance teams.

The role requires 5 years of controls/electrician experience, with Rockwell/PLC knowledge, and ability to work around 480VAC while upholding safety and GMP standards. Monday–Friday, first shift.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• 5 years controls/electrician experience with Rockwell and PLC systems.
• Knowledge of supporting operations and troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Capable of wiring and replacing electric motors; comfortable around up to 480VAC.

Responsibilities

• Read electrical and process schematics to troubleshoot equipment.
• Train team members on performing repairs to production equipment and plant utilities.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain high-speed packaging, processing, filling equipment and utilities.
• Coordinate on-the-job training and assessments for maintenance staff.
• Develop and update maintenance standard work and training materials.
• Oversee OJT scheduling and cross-training across shifts.
• Ensure safety and GMP requirements are followed onsite.
