Job DescriptionMaintenance Controls Technician (Canal Street Location)

Location: Milwaukee, WI, Milwaukee, WI, US

Hourly Pay Range: $45.00 to $60.00 +$5.00 Shift Premium

Shift: 2nd Shift- 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 pm

With pay ranging from $45.00 to $60.00 per hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus, and a $5.00 shift premium for off-shifts, this role is packed with rewards and growth potential.

What you’ll do…

• Support our Operations team through hands-on troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.

• Design, fabricate, and install control systems to UL 508A standards, including panel building, electrical schematics, equipment BOMs, and PLC/HMI programming.

• Demonstrate strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, PanelView HMIs, Kinetix motion controls, and PowerFlex series VFDs or VFDs.

What you'll bring…

• Associate degree or higher in Automation, Industrial Controls, Electro-mechanical, or related field (BSEE or BSEET preferred).

• Five-plus years of industrial manufacturing experience in design, fabrication, and installation of control systems including Control- and CompactLogix PLCs, SLC 5/00, MicroLogix PLCs, PanelView Plus 7 series, PanelView 5000 HMIs, Kinetix servo drives, PowerFlex VFDs, GuardMaster safety relays, IO-Link, and FANUC robotics.

• Knowledge of electrical standards such as NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and UL 508A.

• Experience with fieldbus, communication protocols, and networking technologies like EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, IO-Link, CIP Safety, and managed ethernet switches.

• Passion for industrial automation and a desire to learn new technologies and grow your skills.

• Excellent communication skills and a team-player mentality to collaborate with Controls and Maintenance teams.

When you’ll work…

We currently have one opening on 2nd shift (Canal Street facility):

2nd Shift: 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Our maintenance team members work every other weekend and enjoy a 5-day workweek with days off on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Overtime opportunities are available for extra earnings.

Where you’ll work…

This is an on-site position at our Canal Street facility with opportunities at our new West Milwaukee facility opening in July 2025. Until then, training and work will be at Canal Street.
