The North Carolina Department of Natural and Cultural Resources (DNCR) is seeking a Maintenance/Construction Technician II for NC State Parks. This role maintains grounds, buildings, facilities and equipment, performs custodial tasks, trail work, mowing and trimming, routine maintenance, and may assist with auto mechanics.
Open to candidates who meet the minimum education: high school/GED with one year progressive trade experience; or equivalent.

This role is responsible for hands on work maintaining grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment. Work includes, custodial tasks, boundary line clearing, routine maintenance, trail maintenance, trash collection, mowing and trimming, prescribed burn assistance and/or auto mechanics.
$35,596 - $45,000
This Position is designated as Essential/Mandatory and is required to work adverse weather events and may be called to work special events.
Sign-on bonus of $1,000 is being offered for eligible candidates.

May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F.
