Unity House is seeking a Maintenance & Construction Manager to join the Property Team in Troy, NY. This full-time hourly position focuses on maintaining agency facilities, grounds, and program locations, with responsibilities from general repairs to minor remodeling and event setup.

You’ll perform sheetrock work, painting, plumbing, electrical repairs, and assist with on-call emergencies. A NYS driver's license and physical stamina are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• General maintenance, remodeling, or light construction experience is needed.
• Ability to safely operate power tools.
• Valid and clean New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and remain on your feet for most of the workday.
• Flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation and work occasional evenings and weekends.

Unity House is seeking a dependable, hands‑on individual to help maintain our buildings, grounds, and program locations. From general repairs and painting to minor remodeling projects and event setup, no two days are exactly alike!

$1200 sign‑on bonus for those who qualify

Key Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and upkeep of agency buildings, program locations, and grounds.

Ability to perform sheetrock installation, taping, sanding, painting, and other light construction tasks.

Complete basic plumbing and electrical repairs.

Assist with moving furniture, filing cabinets, equipment, and other items as needed.

Respond to property maintenance emergencies as part of a 24‑hour on‑call rotation. Assess situations, make repairs when qualified, and escape issues when necessary.
