Job summary

National Beef of North Baltimore, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team and oversee large capital projects spanning electrical, environmental, facilities, process, and refrigeration disciplines.

You will collaborate with engineers, operations, safety, and procurement to ensure projects are on time, within budget, and compliant with food safety and industry standards. A strong engineering background and project management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (ME/AE/ChE) or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years experience in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.
• Project Management certification or formal training."

Responsibilities

• Manages engineers, consultants, contractors and other personnel in the design and completion of large domestic capital projects in maintenance disciplines including Electrical, Environmental, Facilities, Process, and/or Refrigeration.
• Ensures projects stay on schedule, within scope and on budget; seeks to improve engineering standards for safety, food safety, and risk management.
• Develops engineering specifications, procedures and policies across multiple disciplines; conducts internal inspections and audits for operations compliance.
• Prepares plans, specifications and cost estimates for processes, equipment and systems for capital projects; reviews drawings for conformance.
• Prepares and distributes high level project estimates and ROI reports for business decisions and strategy.
• Coordinates capital budget information and communicates across units to ensure adherence to standards and policies.
