About the role

The Automation Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial automation systems. This role requires technical expertise in electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. The technician should understand industrial processes and be able to interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, PLCs, and motion control systems is essential. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Model and demonstrate Reckitt’s values, encouraging others to do the same.
• Follow all safety policies and practices.
• Adhere to GMPs and Food Safety policies to prevent costly write-offs and recalls.
• Install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair industrial automation systems such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, X-Rays, checkweighers, vision systems, and motion control devices.
• Test and calibrate industrial controls and computerized systems monitoring operations or machinery.
• Perform routine inspections for defects or malfunctions.
• Develop and document automation processes and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to implement modifications and upgrades.
• Document all work in SAP.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed.
• Assist in planning maintenance activities to reduce unplanned failures.
• Help develop maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Create standard work instructions for equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate Degree in Controls Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or Electrical Maintenance Technology with at least five years of relevant experience.
• Or, seven years of combined education and experience in Controls Automation and Industrial Maintenance.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with good organizational and planning skills.

US Salary Range

USD $31.50/hour (+$1.25 shift differential)
