Job summary

Wayne Farms in Mocksville, NC is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds and yard around the facility. Under minimal supervision, you will perform landscaping tasks to keep plantings healthy and the exterior presentable.

Responsibilities include mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning, and light exterior repairs; you will also assist with other facilities maintenance as needed and follow safety policies. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Previous landscaping experience is a plus.
• Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.
• Sound work ethic, honesty and moral character.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:

• Under minimal supervision, ensure grounds/yard surrounding facility are well maintained
• Perform landscaping duties such as mowing, planting, weeding, fertilizing, pruning etc to ensure plants, shrubs and trees remain healthy
• Perform minor facility exterior maintenance such as sweeping/clearing sidewalks, painting, lightbulb replacement and/ or other minor structural repairs etc.
• Assist others when requested in the repair and maintenance of grounds and facility
• Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Education And Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required

Safety Requirements
