Job Summary

The Maintenance Associate performs routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the facility. This role supports residents' and staff's well-being by maintaining a secure and comfortable environment. The Maintenance Associate collaborates with the Director of Maintenance and staff to address maintenance needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment breakdowns.
  • Maintain records of activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, infection control, and industry standards.
  • Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
  • Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  • Maintain and store tools and equipment properly.
  • Support emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in maintenance, facility management, or related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and repairs.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations is a plus.
