Job Summary:

The Maintenance Associate performs routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the facility, supporting the well-being of residents and staff by maintaining a secure environment. The role involves working closely with the Director of Maintenance to address needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep.
  2. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
  3. Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and wear.
  4. Maintain records of activities, inspections, and repairs.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and industry standards.
  6. Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
  7. Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  8. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
  9. Maintain tools and equipment properly.
  10. Support emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. Experience in maintenance or facility management preferred.
  3. Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
  4. Ability to operate tools safely and effectively.
  5. Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and in a team.
  7. Excellent organizational skills.
  8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  9. Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
  10. Familiarity with OSHA regulations is a plus.
