Job Summary:
The Maintenance Associate performs routine maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and cleanliness of the facility, supporting the well-being of residents and staff by maintaining a secure environment. The role involves working closely with the Director of Maintenance to address needs efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general upkeep.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
- Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce equipment failures and wear.
- Maintain records of activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and industry standards.
- Assist with groundskeeping, landscaping, snow removal, and exterior maintenance.
- Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment properly.
- Support emergency procedures, including fire safety and evacuation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in maintenance or facility management preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Ability to operate tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Flexibility for occasional evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations is a plus.
