Job summary

Kane's Furniture is seeking a Maintenance Associate to perform a range of maintenance duties across our facility and warehouse equipment. The role focuses on wiring, electrical, plumbing, machinery, and equipment repair, with on-site testing and preventive maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications include hands-on skills, the ability to read voltages with a volt meter, and forklift/dock plate familiarity; welding experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Experience with warehouse operations including forklift and dock plates is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools, reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines and building systems running smoothly.

Job description

Kane's is offering an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Associate who will provide a variety of maintenance services pertaining to our facility and warehouse equipment/vehicles. This is a key position in our maintenance department and we are looking for critical thinkers and goal-oriented people.

This will include:

• Knowledge of assembling, installation, or repair wiring, electrical, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
• Ability to read and use of volt meter, including reading voltage AC/DC
• Warehousing experience a plus, including forklift operation and dock plates
• Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills, wrenches, and electronic testing devices.
• Welding experience a plus but not required
• Performs other related maintenance functions as required.

Qualified candidates will:

• Candidates must possess hands-on skill-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of various jobs to include: operating equipment used in skilled trades, power and hand tools, general building maintenance etc.; adhering to safety practices.
• Candidates must be able to meet the physical demands of the position which include being at height of up to 40 feet, significant lifting of 50+ lbs consistently,carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to pass MVR check and requirements.
• All candidates for employment at Kane's Furnituremust be able to successfully pass criminal background check and drugscreening.
