Warehouse Associate Position Summary: Kane's Furniture is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Associate to join our team in a fast-paced furniture distribution center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for key warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, quality assurance, and general warehouse operations, while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Applicants should be comfortable performing physical warehouse work including lifting furniture and loading or unloading delivery trucks as part of the daily workflow.

Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift - Tuesday - Saturday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Key Responsibilities

• Move merchandise throughout the warehouse, transporting product between receiving, storage, staging, and shipping areas
• Load and unload delivery trucks and trailers safely and efficiently
• Lift, carry, and position furniture and warehouse merchandise for storage and delivery preparation
• Pick, pack, and stage customer orders for shipment and delivery routes
• Receive incoming shipments, count and verify items, and record inventory as required
• Inspect merchandise for damage or defects and report discrepancies
• Package, label, and tag merchandise before storage or shipment
• Prepare outgoing shipments and confirm orders are accurate and complete
• Complete shipping documentation and delivery manifests
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is a plus, especially in furniture or heavy goods handling.
• Ability to regularly lift and maneuver furniture and materials weighing 150+ pounds, with or without assistance.
• Capable of standing, walking, lifting, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
• Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a 7-year criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
