About Us

Located on nearly 1400 acres in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, Becket-Chimney Corners YMCA operates programs serving hundreds of campers annually, including traditional camps, travel, service programs, and day camps, with over a century of tradition.

Qualifications

• Experience in buildings and grounds maintenance, custodial services, or related fields
• Recent technical school graduates with relevant trades are encouraged to apply
• Light carpentry skills and ability to independently perform repairs are preferred
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• Successful background checks
• Medical physical and immunizations as per state regulations

Responsibilities

Our maintenance team performs a variety of tasks including building and grounds maintenance, custodial services, and operating light machinery and tools. Work schedules vary seasonally, with full-time hours during the off-season and seasonal adjustments during peak months. On-call duties for emergencies are rotated weekly.
