LCB Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for The Residence at Boylston Place in Massachusetts. This full-time role involves routine maintenance, repairs, and ensuring a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

• 4+ years maintenance experience, preferably in health care.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair of the residence and equipment.
• Ensure work areas are free of hazards and safe.
• Replace light bulbs in exit, overhead, room, and exterior lights.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• Operate and maintain cleaning and maintenance tools and chemicals safely.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors as required.
• Maintain grounds and exterior areas tidy and safe.
• Attend trainings and orientations as required.
• Participate in on-call program as directed by leadership.
• Demonstrate proper handling of chemicals and safety procedures.
• Disinfect and clean resident rooms and common areas.
• Manage waste disposal and container lining.

Works with outside contractors as needed. Responsible for cleaning residents rooms and residence common areas including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, polishing, mopping, disinfecting, etc. Discards waste into proper containers, replaces light bulbs and assists with any general housekeeping/laundry duties as necessaryQUALIFICATIONS:a. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of maintenance functions and techniques, OSHA standards, state and local fire codes and other safety regulations required. The ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing is essential. Requires frequent heavy lifting, bending, stooping, climbing, pushing and stretching. Requires moving of heavy furniture, equipment and boxes.d. Education: High school diploma or GED is preferred.e. Experience: Four or more years maintenance experience is required, preferably in the health care industry.f. Certificates/Licenses: HVAC certificate preferred. Demonstrates proper usage of chemicals and equipment.12. Discards waste/trash into prop containers and re-lines trash receptacles.13. Discards waste/trash into facility dumpsters
