The Piedmont at Buckhead is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily property operations in Atlanta. This full-time role focuses on completing work orders, making-ready vacant apartments, and maintaining grounds under the Maintenance Director’s guidance.

Ideal candidates will have some related experience, be able to read simple instructions, and be willing to learn. HVAC skills are preferred, and a strong eye for detail is important for this position.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsabilités

• Complete work orders as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Must know how to paint.

Maintain the day-to-day operations and assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the Maintenance Director. This is a great opportunity with room for advancement!

• Responsible for the completion of all Work Order requests as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Work within expense limits established.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Complete grounds work as directed by Maintenance Director, which may include picking up trash, sweeping curb and dumpster areas and maintaining landscaping beds and other areas.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
• Must know howto paint.
• Prefer HVAC Skills.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• As required by local and state regulating bodies.
