Job summary

Senior Resource Group-SRG is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at The Piedmont at Buckhead. The role oversees day-to-day property maintenance, completes work orders, and supports preventative maintenance programs to protect assets.

You may handle make-ready tasks for vacant units and grounds maintenance under the Maintenance Director's guidance. Ideal candidates bring basic maintenance skills, ability to read simple instructions, and a willingness to develop HVAC or painting capabilities.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform day-to-day maintenance tasks following written or verbal instructions.
• Willingness to perform basic building repairs and care.
• Comfort reading short memos and writing simple notes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the completion of all Work Order requests as assigned.
• Complete make-ready process of vacant apartments as directed by the Maintenance Director.
• Work within expense limits established.
• Maintain inventory controls for cost effective operations.
• Schedule and complete the "Preventative Maintenance Program".
• Responsible for 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Complete grounds work and landscaping upkeep as directed by Maintenance Director.
• Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined.
• Must know how to paint.
• Prefer HVAC Skills.

• Less than high school education; or up toone yearrelated experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• As required by local and state regulating bodies.
