Job summary

The Alden Network in Rockford, IL is seeking a Maintenance Associate to support the Building Manager with daily facilities operations in a health care setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment, performing simple mechanical, electrical, plumbing tasks, responding to after-hours emergencies, and ensuring safety policies are followed while maintaining a warm environment for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong English reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to work well with residents, families, staff, and the public.
• Willingness to work with others in a team.

Responsibilities

• Follow established departmental policies and dress code.
• Monitor temperatures and equipment.
• Monitor/assist outside contractors and perform simple maintenance tasks.
• Respond to off hour emergencies.
• Follow infection control and OSHA safety guidelines.
• Maintain a warm, caring atmosphere for residents and participate in staff meetings.
