Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a Building Manager for Alden Estates of Shorewood and Alden Courts of Shorewood Nursing facilities. You will direct and coordinate the maintenance department to ensure a safe, compliant environment in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities include safety inspections, preventive maintenance programs, equipment upkeep, and managing costs. Strong knowledge of facility regulations and hands-on maintenance is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• High School graduate.
• Knowledge and experience in all phases of building maintenance.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, facility safety, equipment maintenance, and training.
• Experience in estimating maintenance and repair costs.
• Knowledge of the rules and regulations which govern the long-term care industry.

Responsibilities

• Facility Safety: ensure high safety standards and compliance with laws and facility policies.
• Arranges and coordinates fire safety inspections and follow-ups.
• Schedules internal safety inspections and corrective actions.
• Coordinates and manages preventive maintenance schedules and programs.
• Oversees facility maintenance and grounds to meet policy and fiscal guidelines.
• Supervises maintenance activities and coordinates with contractors.
• Provides general assistance and oversight to construction personnel when needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
