The Club Health and Rehab in The Villages, FL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support maintenance operations across heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, grounds, and building exteriors. You will work closely with the Maintenance Director to review work orders, prioritize repairs, and keep essential systems in safe, reliable condition.

Candidates should be able to perform routine repairs, manage small projects, and follow company policies and safety rules.

Qualifications

Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Knowledge of maintenance practices and regulations for assisted living
Ability to implement and interpret programs, goals and procedures of the maintenance department
Proficiency in general maintenance responsibilities, resident rights, safety and sanitation
Confidentiality of proprietary information and policy compliance

Responsibilities

Assist Maintenance Director with maintenance programs for heating, cooling, water, gas, electrical, mechanical, grounds, carpentry, painting, sprinklers, fire alarms, plumbing, exteriors.
Identify needed repairs or replacements for apartments, common areas, and grounds.
Complete work orders from residents and staff.
Perform minor repairs on household appliances and equipment.
Assist with preventive maintenance to refurbish or replace deteriorating items and avoid costly repairs.
Advise supervisor on needed equipment repairs or low supplies.
Complete special projects as directed.
