Jackson Center for Nursing and Healing is seeking a Maintenance Assistant/Remodeling Assistant to support the care center’s facilities in Georgia. The role involves performing standard maintenance tasks and small remodeling projects under the direction of the Maintenance Director.
The ideal candidate has basic wiring, plumbing and carpentry knowledge; previous LTC experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be 18+ and eligible to work in the United States.

The Maintenance Assistant provides a variety of standard and skilled tasks in the maintenance and repairs of center grounds and facility.
Works closely with and follows direction of director/supervisor.
Painting, wall repair, and small remodeling projects.
Maintains building and grounds in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Maintains and repairs basic functions of center as determined by the Maintenance Director.
Takes care of tools and equipment.
Makes minor repairs on handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lights, fire alarms and extinguishers, changes filters on HVAC equipment, carries, lifts and stock supplies.
Remains on call when assigned for 24/hrs. a day.
Assumes supervisor's responsibilities in his/her absence.
Ensures that customers/families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
Performs other duties as assigned
Prior experience in LTC preferred (not required)
Must be 18 years (+) to work at any of our facilities.
High school Diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of wiring, plumbing and carpentry
