Job summary

Heritage Woods of Gurnee in Gurnee, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for part-time shift. Salary range $20.00–$21.00 per hour. Under the direction of the Maintenance Director, you will help maintain a safe, resident-centered environment.

You will lead preventative maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems, handle maintenance requests, and perform exterior tasks. You will also conduct fire and disaster drills with residents and staff, while showing compassion and dignity in

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Experience in HVAC systems and/or electrical required.
• Prior senior living experience desired.
• Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Community safety program and maintain a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulations.
• Sustain a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Complete all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficiently.
• Perform exterior maintenance duties.
• Perform fire and disaster drill activities with residents and team members.
• Engage with residents in a compassionate and impactful manner, cultivating a warm and supportive environment where the values of love, compassion, and dignity are reflected in every interaction.
