Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living Mgmt Inc is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, clean, and well‑functioning for residents, families, and staff. You will complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders and assist with basic repairs.

You will support painting and refurbishing projects, HVAC and mechanical system maintenance, preventative checks, and safety protocols. The role includes daily operations, keeping tools organized, and driving the community vehicle as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance or similar role.
• Ability to follow safety standards and procedures.
• Willingness to drive community vehicle when required.
• Basic troubleshooting and repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Drive community vehicle as assigned.
