Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our community safe, clean, and well-functioning for residents and staff.

You will complete assigned tasks, perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances), assist with painting and refurbishing, and support HVAC and preventative maintenance, ensuring everyday operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite “make-ready” preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
• You play a key role in safety, compliance, and day-to-day building operations.

Pay Range: 20.60 - 25.80
