Job summary

Front Porch is hiring a Maintenance Assistant (Janitor) at St. Paul’s Towers in Oakland, CA. This full-time role includes cleaning and upkeep of the facility and related duties with a competitive pay range.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 months of prior work experience.
• Prior janitor experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean windows, wash walls, move furniture, hang pictures and mirrors, sweep, scrub, wax, polish floors, etc.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas as assigned.
• Sweep and hose carports, patios, sidewalks, dumpster areas, or other common areas.
• Restock supplies, soap, and sanitizers in restrooms and kitchenettes.
• Gather and empty trash throughout campus and offices.
• Set up and take down tables and chairs for daily and/or special events.
• Keep equipment clean and in good order; report repairs.
• Assist in arranging furniture for residents moving in/out; perform related duties.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Summary:
This position is responsible for keeping the facility's premises, apartment houses, residential homes, and other buildings on company grounds clean and orderly.

Detailed responsibilities:
* Maintenance Assistant (Janitor)

• Clean windows, wash walls, move furniture, hang pictures and mirrors, sweep, scrub, wax, polish floors, etc.


• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas as assigned.


• Sweeps and hoses carports, patios, sidewalks, dumpster areas, or other common areas as assigned.


• Re-stock supplies, soap, and sanitizers in restrooms and kitchenettes.


• Gather and empty trash throughout campus and offices.


• Set up and take down tables and chairs as assigned for daily and/or special events.


• Keeps equipment clean and in good order. Reports when equipment, structures, or furniture need repair.


• Assists in arranging furniture for residents when moving a resident from one apartment to another in the building or from cottages if furnishings are not too large or heavy. Perform all other related duties as assigned.
