Job summary

VOALA is hiring a Maintenance Assistant I to perform minor repairs and routine upkeep on the interior and exterior of the assigned buildings and grounds on-site. The role requires independence and flexible hours, with a focus on safety and compliance within VOALA standards.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, a current California driver’s license, and at least 1 year of facilities maintenance or construction experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.

• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Responsibilities

• Maintains interior and exterior of buildings, parking lots and grounds
• Performs minor repairs: carpentry, plumbing, painting and cleaning
• Keeps maintenance store rooms stocked and organized
• Exercises safety checks and adheres to VOALA and governmental regulations
• Drives company vehicle for supplies as needed
• Other duties as assigned
