Job summary

Geisinger is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support general maintenance repairmen with various tasks. You will deliver tools and materials, assist with fixture removal, painting, and basic electrical/HVCA tasks while keeping accurate records and maintaining equipment.

The role is office-adjacent and balance with site cleanup, reporting to a supervisor, and assisting other trades as needed, including security duties, within a standard Monday–Friday shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tools and materials to job site and clean up, return items to storage.
• Assist with removing built-in fixtures and tearing down walls.
• Sort and collect recycling and shredding.
• Assist with painting projects.
• Provide limited electrical work, e.g. changing light bulbs.
• Provide limited HVCA services, e.g. changing filters.
• Maintain daily records of time and materials.
• Keep tools and equipment in safe, operable condition.
• Report problems to supervisor.
• Assist other trades for seasonal requirements as needed.
• Assist with Security as needed.
• Sweep sidewalks to main entrance as needed.

• Maintains accurate daily records of time and materials.
• Maintains all tools and equipment in a safe and operable condition.
• Reports problems to the supervisor.
• Assists other trade areas for seasonal requirements as needed.
• Provides assistance with Security as needed.
• Sweeps sidewalks to main entrance as needed.
