Job summary

Holiday Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep a 170-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility safe, functional, and welcoming. You will perform routine rounds, handle minor repairs, and coordinate with staff to improve resident living spaces.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1+ years in maintenance; nursing facility experience is preferred. The team values safety, care, and exceptional service for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One (1) or more years of general maintenance experience in painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
