Job summary

Capitol Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep our 138-bed facility safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will perform routine rounds, basic repairs, and assist with moves, always following safety policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general maintenance experience (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC).
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs.
• Review maintenance logs and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to improve resident living spaces and facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.
