• Knowledge of construction, plumbing, and landscaping preferred.

Position: Plant Operations Assistant

Type: Full-Time

Location: Westlake, Ohio

Starting wage: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Join us at Vitalia Senior Residences - Westlake, located at 26695 Center Ridge Rd., Westlake, Ohio!

We are looking for someone (like you):

• To be a “Maintenance Magician” by assisting in maintaining all community areas and servicing equipment and tools.
• To be a “Tool and Tech Troubleshooter” by responding promptly to repair requests and documenting progress.
• To be a “Service Support Specialist” by ensuring safety for employees, guests, and residents, and managing environmental hazards and emergencies.

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• HVAC certification and experience are highly recommended.
• Knowledge of construction, refinishing, painting, plumbing, flooring, refurbishing, and landscaping is preferred.
• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in multi-unit housing with supervisory roles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift over 50 pounds frequently.
• Physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and using a ladder, outdoors and indoors, in various weather conditions.
• Criminal background clearance.
• Good health verified by a recent health screening and TB test.
• Clean driving record as per insurance policy.
• Experience in senior housing is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
