Job summary

Amberwoods of Farmington seeks an excellent Maintenance Assistant to join our team in Farmington, CT. This role involves performing repairs, preventative maintenance, small renovations, and room changes within a skilled nursing facility.

Our facility values employees in a supportive environment with good transportation access. We offer a competitive benefits package and a schedule of 40 hours per week with on-call hours; compensation is $24 per hour.

Qualifications

• 1 year of maintenance experience in skilled nursing facility or apartment building.
• Very organized and fast worker with good communication.
• Excellent customer service and ability to use technology.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs in the nursing facility timely and properly, including minor plumbing, limited electrical, wall repairs, minor mechanical and minor equipment repairs
• Completes preventative maintenance tasks as directed, per schedule
• Works on small renovation projects as needed
