The role involves following schedules, performing routine maintenance, and addressing repairs across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical aspects, with opportunities for professional growth and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• Ability to speak and write English clearly and understandably.
• Able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds and carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow maintenance schedule and policies from supervision.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, driveways, and related areas.
• Repair facility systems including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical as directed.
• Clean windows and replace bulbs as needed.
• Service heating and cooling units per manufacturer and procedures.
• Complete unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.

Mystic Healthcare is a 100-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Mystic, Connecticut specializing in short-term rehabilitation and long-term care. We are currently hiring a Maintenance Assistant. Come join our team!

Responsibilities

• Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions from your supervisor and as outlined in our established maintenance policies and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc., by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, etc., as necessary/directed.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc., as directed, in accordance with established procedures.
• Clean windows and screens as directed.
• Replace burned out light bulbs, to include, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc., and perform cleaning duties wherever necessary.
• Service heating and cooling units/systems, as specified by the manufacturer, and in compliance with established policies and procedures.
• Perform unscheduled maintenance tasks as directed.
