Job summary

Complete Care at Grande Prairie is seeking a Part-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will troubleshoot building mechanical problems, perform repairs, and carry out scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable operations.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, the ability to work independently or in a team, basic computer skills, and willingness to handle plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks. LTC experience is a plus; daily pay is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Previous LTC experience preferred but not required.
• Experience performing basic building repairs (plumbing, carpentry, painting).
• Completion of a maintenance apprenticeship is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond promptly to maintenance needs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot building mechanical problems effectively.
• Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Apply technical knowledge of electrical, HVAC systems.
• Maintain safety in the maintenance department.
• On-call rotation every other week.
• Collaborate and complete other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.
