Job summary

Hamilton Arms Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time role with shift 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and alternating weekend on-call. The position requires basic maintenance skills, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year maintenance experience preferred.
• Handyman experience is a plus.
• Electrical and painting experience preferred.
• Basic arithmetic for measurements and estimates.
• Must have valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Receive work orders and perform repairs.
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliances, carpentry, and painting tasks.
• Follow safety policies and promote safe work practices.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes and regulations.
• Communicate with residents to resolve issues and follow up on requests.
• Possible supervision of staff or contractors.
