Job summary

Yorktown-Rehabilitation-and-Nursing-Cente is seeking a maintenance worker to support daily facility operations. The role involves operating machinery, basic repairs, and ensuring equipment is kept in good condition within a single location in Cortlandt, NY.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED and some maintenance experience; a valid driver’s license is required. The position offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and repair experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and equipment, keep in good repair, and store items in an orderly fashion.
• Handle simple electrical and plumbing tools and perform minor repairs.
• Move large equipment in and out of the facility.
• Run errands for supplies; must drive a motor vehicle.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks as instructed.
• Complete routine tasks accurately with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions

1. Must operate machinery and equipment, maintain in good repair, and store in an orderly fashion.

3. Be able to carry, push, and pull large equipment in and out of facility.
4. Run errands as needed for supplies—requires driving a motor vehicle.
5. Assist with Preventative Maintenance duties as instructed.
6. Accurately completes routine tasks without the need of direct supervision.
