Guardian Management has a need for a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Briarcreek & City Center! Briarcreek & City Center are affordable apartment communities in Beaverton & Hillsboro, OR.

We are seeking a motivated individual to support in cleaning and minor property maintenance to maintain curb appeal and the overall appearance and quality of the property. The primary role of a Maintenance Assistant is to assist with cleaning and minor maintenance tasks, process work orders, and support routine maintenance of properties and apartment units. All work must comply with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies. We are willing to train the right individual, making this an excellent entry-level opportunity for those interested in property maintenance careers.

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Compensation: $22/hr + benefits!

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and product use
  • Basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance (e.g., changing lightbulbs, raking)
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to complete required training within deadlines
  • Basic computer literacy and willingness to use standard technology

Qualifications:

  • Previous janitorial, cleaning, or light maintenance experience
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working on ladders at heights of up to 15 feet

Essential Functions:

  • Represent Guardian professionally and positively
  • Support efforts to meet property management obligations
  • Clean vacant units and maintain grounds daily
  • Maintain common areas, entryways, and recycling areas
  • Report potential liabilities or repairs
  • Respond to service requests and complete work orders promptly
  • Keep model units and work areas clean and presentable
  • Be on call for emergencies if required
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors
  • Follow confidentiality guidelines
  • Accurately record work hours
  • Collaborate with departments and coworkers
  • Seek continual improvement in work processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned
