In this job, every day you will...

1. Provide assistance in delivering preventive maintenance for the building, equipment, and grounds.
2. Perform repairs under the supervision of the Maintenance Director within your area of expertise, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting, following accepted codes.
3. Monitor and record building and water temperatures, adjusting to meet regulations and safety codes.
4. Ensure strict adherence to community fire safety and hazardous chemical procedures, promptly addressing unsafe conditions or equipment problems.
5. Perform ongoing floor care, including carpeting in resident apartments and common areas.
6. Remove trash gathered by housekeepers and caregivers daily.
7. Maintain grounds in a professional, well-groomed manner by performing grounds maintenance or collaborating with a landscaping company.

Education & Experience you need to qualify:

You need a Vocational or Trade School degree in general maintenance or three years of experience in carpentry, electrical, or painting work. Experience with budgets is helpful.
