Job summary

Gardant-Management-Solution is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support a community by ensuring safety, security and reliable facility operations. The role involves daily hands-on maintenance, scheduling, and rapid response to repair requests within a senior living setting.

The position requires HVAC and/or electrical experience, a high school diploma or GED, and excellent communication skills to engage with residents respectfully and compassionately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience with HVAC systems and/or electrical work is required.
• Senior living experience is desired.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the community safety program and maintain a secure resident home and environment.
• Sustain a preventative maintenance program for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other systems.
• Complete maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergencies, promptly.
• Repair, replace or install minor equipment, hardware and controls.
• Maintain water heaters, furnaces, air conditioners and kitchen equipment.
• Perform exterior maintenance and participate in fire and disaster drills with residents and staff.

Responsibilities:Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director, our Maintenance Assistant oversees the Community safety program and maintains a secure resident home and working environment in compliance with policy and regulationsSustains a preventative maintenance program to maintain proper functioning of all Community equipment, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systemsCompletes all maintenance requests, both scheduled and emergency, quickly and efficientlyMechanically repair, replace, and/or install minor equipment, hardware, and controls.
