Start at an hourly rate of up to $19.71.

Maintenance Activities

1. Receives, completes, tracks, and documents outcomes of work orders or verbal instructions from supervisor.
2. Performs basic maintenance and repairs of the building’s exterior and interior systems (plumbing and electrical).
3. Provides, tracks, and documents preventive maintenance of facilities and related equipment.
4. Maintains large equipment such as boilers, pumps, swimming pools, and HVAC systems.
5. Replaces worn or damaged parts like hoses, wiring, and belts to maintain equipment functionality.
6. Prepares apartments for occupancy following CLV’s make-ready protocols.
7. Performs daily tasks to maintain the curb appeal of the facility and custodial tasks as assigned.
8. Assists other departments with moving furniture and unloading supplies.
9. May assist in coordinating or supervising work performed by outside vendors.
10. May assist in the RFP process for securing outside bids for services.

Technical Skills

• Completes assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• Communicates effectively and tactfully with co-workers and facility staff, maintaining a positive attitude and strong customer service skills.
• Can understand and communicate verbal and written instructions clearly.
• Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills for safety and work completion.

Experience

• Minimum of 2-4 years of previous experience as a Maintenance Assistant with increasing responsibilities.
• Knowledge of common maintenance activities such as HVAC, swimming pool maintenance, plumbing, and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current EPA and HVAC certifications; Certified Pool Operator certification may be required.
