Job summary

Caldera Care in Spokane, WA is seeking a FT Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director in keeping our skilled nursing center safe, functional and comfortable for residents.

You will handle tools and basic repairs, read reports, calculate simple fixes, and maintain accurate notes while working with residents, families and staff.

A high school diploma or equivalent is required; prior maintenance experience is preferred. We offer a competitive wage and benefits package DOE.

Responsibilities:

Ability to handle tools and equipment, make proper calculations for repairs or reports. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to relate positively, effectively, and appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers and other center staff. Possess special interest in, and a positive attitude about, working with long-term care residents and the elderly. Meets all health requirements, as required by law. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
