Job summary

Hanon Systems in Ohio is seeking a Maintenance Lead to supervise the daily maintenance of facilities, equipment, and machinery, including HVAC, lighting, water tower, air compressors and assembly lines. You will manage and develop the team, plan preventive maintenance, and coordinate with contractors.

This full-time role requires strong leadership, safety focus, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules and work orders while ensuring health and environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least five years of maintenance experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software for reports, logs, and inventory.
• Experience reading electrical, mechanical and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours.
• Coaches, counsels and manages performance of direct reports.
• Develops and maintains a preventive maintenance schedule for equipment and machinery.
• Arranges for and manages third-party contractor support as needed.
• Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed.
• Enforces safety and housekeeping practices.
• Orders parts and maintains MRO crib.
• Supports and trains maintenance staff as needed.
• Ensures adherence to quality standards and health/safety regulations.
• Updates knowledge by education and publications; participates in EHS objectives.
• Enter work orders/call information in leading2lean; verify work orders/dispatches are closed.

Job description

The Maintenance Lead manages and assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery, including HVAC, building lighting systems, water tower, air compressors, assembly lines, grounds keeping, security and overall facility appearance. The position supervises and coordinates the work of employees who repair and maintain building/facility, equipment and machinery. This position also manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepares work schedules, assigns work and oversees the work product while minimizing overtime and call-in hours
• Coaches, counsels and manages performance of direct reports
• Develops and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule program for applicable equipment and machinery
• Arranges for and manages appropriate third-party contractor support as needed
• Prepares budgets and secures estimates and cost quotes as needed
• Enforces sound safety and housekeeping practices
• Orders parts and maintains MRO crib
• Assists and trains maintenance staff as needed
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health/safety regulations
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications
• Supports and participates in EHS objectives
• Enter work orders/call information on leading2lean
• Verify work order/dispatches are closed in leading2lean
• Identifying, locating and issuing parts to maintenance technicians from the maintenance storeroom
• Track and pick up orders from receiving department, inspect deliveries for shortages, damages and report any problems
• Ensure an environmental health and safe work environment conditions by complying with all Hanon Systems Integrated Management System procedures, standards, and regulations

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least five years of maintenance experience required

• This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are subject to variation with occasional evening and weekend work required as job duties demand
• Occasional domestic and international travel may be required
