Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a maintenance professional to handle routine upkeep and repairs across the facility. The role requires reading manuals, following safety procedures, and coordinating with supervisors to meet production needs.

The candidate should have 3+ years of relevant experience, strong problem solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required depending on production schedules.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on facility equipment.
  • Repair doors, locks, frames, and replace light bulbs, sockets, switches, and glass.
  • Perform plumbing tasks including unclogging drains and fixing leaks.
  • Inspect electrical wiring and control panels for issues.
  • Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and coordinate with supervisors.
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.

Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Requires good understanding of general maintenance procedures.
  • Must understand the application and proper uses for a variety solutions and use of general tools in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to understand simple oral or written instructions as well as information signs or other instructional devices.
  • Must be proficient in the operation of powered light industrial equipment/tools.
  • Completing minor repair work, which includes repairing doors, locks, door frames and handles as well as replacing light bulbs, sockets, switches, and window glass.
  • Performing basic plumbing tasks, which includes unclogging drains as well as fixing leaking faucets and toilets.
  • Performing regular cleaning duties, which includes sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming.
  • Inspecting control panels and electrical wiring to detect any issues that require immediate attention.
  • Taking inventory of maintenance supplies and notifying the Supervisor of low or depleted supplies.
  • Promptly responding to requests for emergency repairs and clean‑ups.
  • Ensuring that all maintenance equipment is in good working order.
  • Computer experience and knowledge.
  • Sound knowledge of basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical wiring.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, manuals, schematics and blueprints.
  • Proven general maintenance experience.
  • The ability to safely operate hand and power tools as well as cleaning equipment.

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate with vendors, suppliers and/or internal support personnel by providing necessary, accurate and detailed information.

  • Pull or replenish inventory and production supplies for various departments to meet production requirements.
  • Perform manual and clerical duties related to the receipt of materials and supplies via freight or third‑party LTL carrier.
  • Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies. Work with production staff to perform periodic review of inventory stock, recording quantity, type, and value of materials on hand.
  • Maintain necessary files and documentation.
  • May ensure shipment and delivery time schedules are maintained.
  • Assist with maintaining chemical inventory and storage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 3 years or more relevant experience required
  • Requires knowledge of general administrative and manufacturing operations procedures and knowledge of job specific processes key to successfully execute and complete the duties of the job.
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic organizational skills sufficient to accomplish work by established deadlines.
  • Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Vehicles, preferred
  • Basic knowledge of required information systems, including materials tracking systems, storage and retrieval systems, inventory control systems and applicable reporting systems which may include spreadsheets, databases and other materials receipt and usage systems.
Additional Information

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines. The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $19.60 per hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential $2 more for 2nd shift, $3 more for 3rd shift call‑in, and stand‑by pay.
