Job summary

Evergreen HealthCare Group's Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support general maintenance throughout the facility. You will read blueprints and manuals, perform repairs, and help keep electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems in good working order.

Ideal candidates have basic experience with tools, the ability to assess physical plant problems, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• General experience in equipment maintenance and ability to use basic hand tools.
• Able to assess physical plant problems and respond appropriately.
• Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, HVAC is a plus.
• Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment.
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures.

JOB SUMMARY:

Polson Health and Rehabilitation Center is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant to assist with general maintenance responsibilities throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Read blueprints and manuals.
• Maintain/repair motor controls, programmable controls, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Operate hand and power tools safely.
• Repair and/or replace electrical fixtures, motors, stoves, dryers, washers, medical equipment.
• Check and replace faulty circuits or breakers, and low voltage electrical equipment
• Repair plaster and drywall.
• Maintain plumbing system and fixtures

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Required:General experience in equipment maintenance; demonstrated skills in using proper basic hand tools and materials
• Required:Able to assess physical plant problems and respond to physical plant problems.
• Preferred:Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing, copper, galvanized, and plastic pipe
• Preferred:Basic knowledge of HVAC
• Preferred:Working knowledge of building codes, fire regulations, and emergency plant operations.

EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required:Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
• Preferred:Industry experience or similar general maintenance and repair background
