Job summary

Piqua Manor is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for our community’s physical plant, grounds, and equipment, ensuring a safe environment for residents. You will assist with grounds work, perform minor repairs, move heavy items, and keep facilities clean and maintained.

Qualifications

• Experience in a role with similar goals and responsibilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining the grounds including mowing, weeding, raking, trimming and snow shoveling.
• Performs minor repairs and painting as needed.
• Lifts and moves equipment and furniture.
• Performs heavy scrubbing, waxing and buffing.
• Cleans and maintains sprinklers, exhaust system and filters.
• Attends required in-service education.

Position Responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant

• Assists in maintaining the grounds including mowing, weeding, raking, trimming and the shoveling of dirt and snow
• Conducts minor repairs and paints
• Lifts and moves equipment and furniture
• Performs heavy scrubbing, waxing and buffing
• Cleans and maintains sprinklers, exhaust system and filters
• Attend required in-service education
