Job summary

Oakmont Gardens in California is seeking a temporary Maintenance Assistant to support daily upkeep of community facilities. You will perform general maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and assist with painting and refurbishing projects under supervision.

The role requires English proficiency, good communication and teamwork, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. Work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, at a wage of $18–$24 per hour, depending on experience. EEO employer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance duties (e.g., fixing wall/floor coverings, minor electrical/plumbing repairs, appliance repairs).
• Receive service requests and respond promptly.
• Assist painting and refurbishing projects as directed by supervisor.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance as directed by supervisor.
• Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
• Complete work in priority order set by supervisor.

Oakmont Gardens is recruiting for a hospitality focused Temporary Maintenance Assistant to join our team!

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Maintenance Assistant:

• 1. Perform general maintenance duties, such as: fixing wall covers, floor covers and some furniture and fixtures; light plumbing work, minor electrical repair and appliance repairs.
• 2. Receive service requests and response in a timely manner.
• 3. Perform painting and refurbishing projects, as directed by supervisor.
• 4. Perform routine preventive maintenance, as directed by supervisor.
• 5. Perform minor building and equipment repairs.
• 6. Complete all work in the order of priority set by supervisor.

Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:

• 1. The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language
• 2. Good communication skills (oral and written)
• 3. Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills
• 4. Capable of administering employee incentive, retention and training programs
• 5. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products

Wage: $18-24 depending on experience

Willing to work Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:30pm
