Job summary

Oakmont of Concord is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the physical plant, exterior and interior common areas, and individual resident units. Responsibilities include basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work, and assisting with apartment turnovers and grounds maintenance.

We value teamwork, safety, and exceptional service for residents and families. Eligibility includes 18+ with HS diploma, background check, and health screening; MS Office skills are helpful for daily tasks.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of maintenance or building industry experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel).
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping residents.
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.
• Vaccination or preventive screening requirements may apply per policy.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of electrical, plumbing and HVAC in the community.
• Assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa where applicable.
• Ensure a safe and secure environment for staff, residents and guests.
• Foster teamwork and cooperative interactions across departments.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.00

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant, exterior, and interior common areas, and individual resident units in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Ability to assist with apartment turnovers – painting, carpet cleaning, pressure washing.
• Maintain grounds including pool and spa if applicable.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications

• Prefer six (6) months of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping handling the upkeep, repair, and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters. Knowledge of building construction is helpful.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to operate MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
