Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Naperville, IL to help keep the community safe, clean, and well-functioning for residents, families, and staff. You will handle routine tasks, basic repairs, and preventative maintenance across HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, while supporting make-ready suites and safety drills.

Qualifications

• Experience performing maintenance tasks in a senior living or similar environment.
• Ability to carry out basic plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Familiarity with safety standards and routine maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders.
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures).
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects.
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory.
• Support carpet and floor care as needed.
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation.
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards.
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills.
• Drive community vehicle as assigned.

Pay Range: 18.00 - 22.60
