Job summary

The Wellington at North Richland Hills, a Sonida Senior Living community, seeks a Maintenance Assistant to support general upkeep in an independent living setting. You will address resident requests, perform mechanical repairs, and help maintain common areas with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred.
• Familiarity with minor repair techniques for building systems.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and operate in a care-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs general maintenance daily in response to resident requests through the established work order program, repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Performs daily light bulb walk-through/inspection to ensure public area lighting is operable.
• Maintains building systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Performs daily and as-needed painting projects for common and office areas.

Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities Include

• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis responding to resident request through the established work order program repairing plumbing, electrical and appliance issues.
• Performs daily light bulb walk around/inspection ensuring that all public area light bulbs are operable and working.
• Performs general maintenance on a daily basis for the building to include HVAC, plumbing, electrical and kitchen equipment issues.
• Maintains organization of all storage and equipment areas.
• Performs daily and as assigned painting projects for all common and office area

Qualifications

• Experience in janitorial/maintenance work preferred; familiarity with techniques of minor repair and maintenance for structural, electrical, plumbing, security and heating and cooling systems required.
• Experience in building safety and hazard reduction helpful
