Job summary

Complete Care at Bayshore is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for a full-time, day-shift role at our facility. You will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and respond to work orders to keep the building safe and comfortable for residents and staff.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or general maintenance, and knowledge of Life Safety systems. Equal opportunity employer; benefits available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in building maintenance or facilities preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Experience with Life Safety systems and Life Safety Code compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative building maintenance
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues
• Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
• Inspect and maintain equipment and building systems
• Assist with Life Safety systems, including fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, and related equipment
• Help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors
• Assist with facility inspections, repairs, and improvement projects
• Follow OSHA, Life Safety, state, and federal requirements
• Support the Maintenance Director with daily operations and special projects

What You'll Do

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will help with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our facility, including:

• Perform routine and preventative building maintenance

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance issues

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Previous maintenance, building maintenance, facilities, or maintenance technician experience preferred

• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs

• Experience with Life Safety systems and Life Safety Code compliance required

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Reliable, dependable, and able to work independently

• Basic computer skills preferred

• Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation experience is a plus

Schedule

Full-Time | Day Shift

• Every other weekend required

• Participation in the emergency on-call rotation required
