Job summary

Complete Care at Meriden in Meriden, CT is hiring a Maintenance Assistant for a 32-hour day shift in a beautiful, newly renovated facility with union benefits and a great care team.

As a Maintenance Assistant you will troubleshoot mechanical problems, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and ensure safe operations, reporting to the Maintenance Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently or part of a group.
• Computer knowledge.
• Previous long-term care experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot building mechanical problems.
• Perform miscellaneous repairs, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on equipment ensuring satisfactory operations.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, various heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
• Follow established safety rules, policies, and procedures of the maintenance department.
• Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director and Administrator.
